Ms. Maxwell began her career in human resources working for the House of Blues in 1993. After several years working for entertainment, marketing and nutritional supplement companies she became the facilitator of a team that took one of her employers through a relocation to Nevada from California. Over the last 15 years, Ms. Maxwell’s roles and responsibilities progressively grew and she eventually became the Director of Human Resources to a company raising funds for non-profit organizations where she worked for 8 years. She is currently the HR consultant for that company. In her role she provides virtual daily support and part-time onsite support to the company’s four locations and 300+ employees.
Ms. Maxwell created CYA in 2006 to help California based businesses manage all the complex regulations they must comply with. By working with various types of firms and providing support, she has gained the respect and dedication of many clients. Her clients include: entertainment, fundraising, manufacturing, call center, web based advertising, technology, graphic design, furniture design, gift baskets, electrical services, payment services, and post production.
Ms. Maxwell's recent goal is to assist clients who are increasingly challenged by the millennial generation (Gen Y). Her desire is to help them bridge the gap between outgoing Baby Boomers, Gen X and the incoming Millennial’s by providing guidance about each generation’s unique approach to the world of work.
Ms. Maxwell attended Sonoma State University majoring in Business and Communications. She is a Certified Professional in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoneix. She is also certified by the Society of Human Resources Management as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Ms. Maxwell consistently attends California Labor seminars and virtual workshops to stay current with HR law.
